How to Play Harvest It All: First Steps and the Pick, Sell, Upgrade Loop
New to Harvest It All? Hop on the truck, pick corn, sell it and upgrade your gear. Here's what to do first on Grandpa's farm and how the core loop clears the field.
Grandpa took your phone, and the only way to get it back is to harvest his whole corn field. That is the entire premise of Harvest It All — a cozy, slightly silly farm game where you hop on a truck, pick corn, sell it and upgrade your gear, running that loop over and over until the field is cleared. You can play solo or bring a crew of up to 5 players.
Here is what to do first and how the pick → sell → upgrade loop fits together.
What you're working toward
Your goal is to harvest the whole field — every last stalk — because that's what earns your phone back from Grandpa. Expect a serious amount of corn: the game itself warns that even with scythes, tractors and combines helping, it is still a LOT of corn. Treat your first visit as the start of a longer project rather than a quick win, and let the loop do the work.
Your first steps on the farm
- Hop on a truck. This is where the official description starts you: get aboard and ride into the field work.
- Pick corn. You harvest either on foot, pushing a hand-pushed reaper/scythe cart through the rows, or by driving a combine along them — both styles are shown in the game's official media. The very first ear you pick earns the First Pick badge: "Every big harvest starts with one!" Our how to harvest corn guide goes deeper on this step.
- Sell what you picked. Selling is the second stop in the loop — the game presents pick, sell and upgrade as one continuous path through the field, so sell your harvest rather than sitting on it. More detail lives in our how to sell corn guide.
- Upgrade your gear. Scythes, tractors and combines all help with the harvest. Driving a farm machine across the field also awards the Tractor Time badge, and its description makes the point plainly: "Picking is faster on wheels!" See our tools and vehicles overview for what each one does.
Then repeat: pick, sell, upgrade — over and over until the field is bare. Clearing a whole field is the win condition that gets your phone back, and our how to finish the field guide covers the endgame stretch.
Solo or with friends
You can play alone or bring a crew of up to 5 players. The game's own tagline invites you to harvest the field with your friends, and there's a bonus for it: a crew of two or more that clears a field earns both the Field Cleared badge and the Better Together badge. Our how to play with friends guide covers setting up a crew.
